The Inter-Agency Regional Analysts Network (a consortium of Action Against Hunger, The French Institute for International and Strategic Affairs and The Centre for Humanitarian Leadership) is hiring a Communications Officer to improve the visibility of the initiative and it’s services. With responsibility for managing the external face of the IARAN through the brand, webpage, social media presence and events. the postholder will be tasked with helping the department develop new and creative ways of synthesizing, presenting and sharing information with new and existing audiences.
This is an important function that will be involved in all aspects of the department – from support to the analysts themselves, to building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be a graduate in a field related to social sciences, international relations, public relations, journalism, or any other related discipline. With both written and spoken fluency in English and French, they will also possess significant demonstrable professional experience in a communications role, in government, academia, international organizations, NGOs, think tanks or journalism.
