Action Against Hunger is an international humanitarian organisation committed to ending child hunger. Recognised as a leader in the fight against malnutrition, Action Against Hunger works to save the lives of malnourished children while providing communities with sustainable access to safe water and long-term solutions to hunger. With over 30 years of expertise in emergency situations of conflict, natural disaster and chronic food insecurity, Action Against Hunger runs life-saving programmes in over 47 countries helping some 13.6 million people each year.

The Global Nutrition Cluster (GNC) surge capacity is supported by a Rapid Response Team (RRT) which is composed of two Nutrition Cluster Coordinators (NCCs) and two Information Management Officers (IMOs). The purpose of the RRT is to increase the capacity of the GNC to support cluster coordination and information management functions and subsequently to ensure timely and appropriate coordination and information management support in humanitarian situations – for improved emergency response. We are recruiting for a RRT Information Management Officer to support country level nutrition responses and function within the UNICEF Country Office. The support provided will contribute to the implementation of the IM conceptual framework. The Information Management Officer is responsible for facilitating and guiding the cluster and cluster lead agency towards a reliable and predictable response through the provision of evidence based strategic and operational information.

The IMO compiles inventories of needs and response that leads to a repeatable situational analysis of service gaps. The IMO facilitates partner/partner coordination, information sharing, and reduces duplication through technical standards.
